This Website is operated by Sustainable Future New Zealand Limited. By accessing or using this Website you are deemed to have agreed to these terms (which also include our Privacy Policy).

Intellectual Property

All content, images, designs, data, information, materials and intellectual property rights (including copyright) included in this Website (“Materials”) are either owned by Sustainable Future or its content suppliers. 

You may access and use the Materials for your own personal use, or for the internal purposes of your business, subject to any restrictions that may be set out in these terms or elsewhere in this Website. 

You may only copy or reproduce the Materials to the extent necessary for you to view them on your PC or to print up to 10 copies of them.  However, you are welcome to reproduce articles on this Website that have been written by the Editor but the articles must not be modified in any way and the Editor (Wendy McGuiness) and this Website (www.sustainablefuture.info) must be acknowledged as the source of the article.

Other than as set out above, you cannot use the Materials for anything else.  You are not permitted to copy or reproduce (other than as set out above), modify, publish, transmit, adapt, display to the public (including on a website), sell, licence, or commercialise any of the Materials without the prior written approval of Sustainable Future.

The Sustainable Future logo (with or without the text “sustainable future”) is a trademark.  All trademarks and images on this Website belong to their respective owners. You may not use the Sustainable Future logo, or any other image or trademark on this Website, without Sustainable Future’s prior written approval.

Submitting Resources

When you submit an article, link, report, or any other materials or information to this Website (“Resources”) you agree that:

• you have the legal rights to provide the Resources to Sustainable Future;
• Sustainable Future (and its employees, suppliers and agents) may, at no charge and for as long as it may require, use, publish, display, store, copy, and reproduce the Resources in relation to the Website;
• Sustainable Future may grant the rights set out in Intellectual Property section above in relation to the Resources;
• Sustainable Future may make minor modifications and adaptations to the Resources for the purpose of controlling the “look and feel” of the Website (for example, correction of typos, formatting etc); and
• the Resources are not offensive, harmful, misleading, threatening, unlawful, defamatory or otherwise objectionable.

Sustainable Future may, in its sole discretion, choose not to publish any Resources that it may receive or remove any Resources that it has published.  If you do not have the legal rights to submit a certain Resource then please email the Editor as she may be able to assist you in obtaining the necessary permissions.

Linking

You may include links to this website without Sustainable Future’s approval.  However, you must not use the Sustainable Future logo (with or without the text “sustainable future”) or any other image on this Website as part of a link without first obtaining Sustainable Future’s written approval.

This Website contains links to external websites whose terms of use may be different to these terms.  It is your responsibility to comply with those terms.  Sustainable Future does not endorse or necessarily agree with the content contained in any linked website and so in accessing any linked site you do so at your own risk.

It is not intended to constitute, or be a substitute for, any professional, accounting, financial or legal advice.  All express and implied warranties are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law. In particular, Sustainable Future does not review all of the information on this Website and so, to the maximum extent permitted by law, does not warrant that the information will be accurate, complete or free from errors.  Therefore, you rely on the information on this Website at your own risk. 

Please also note that Sustainable Future does not necessarily endorse, review or agree with all the information presented on the Website but endeavors to permit diverse and interesting material to be published on this Website to add to the debate about measuring, reporting and verifying sustainable development information.

If you are using this Website for the purposes of a business, the provisions of the Consumers Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand) do not apply. If this is not the case, nothing in these terms or this Website shall limit any rights you may have under that Act.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sustainable Future will not in any circumstances be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage in relation to this Website or any Materials.  If for any reason Sustainable Future’s liability is not excluded under these terms, its total cumulative liability to you shall be limited to NZ$100.  These limitations and exclusions shall apply to Sustainable Future’s directors, agents and employees and shall also apply however liability arises, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

Governing law

These terms, and this Website, are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Changes 

Sustainable Future may change the Website and/or these terms at any time without notice and liability. Any changes to these terms shall be effective immediately following the posting of such changes on the Website.
